Tommy Ducharme is as connected to the community as he is to the industry, and that is saying a lot.
He was born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana and graduated from the University of Southwestern Louisiana (USL) in 1980, now the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (ULL). He is a Registered Professional Landman (RPL) who has been associated with all phases of land work since March, 1981, accumulating 37 years of experience since then. He has worked directly in 9 states including: Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, Colorado, Oklahoma, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and Pennsylvania in lease acquisition, due diligence, property acquisitions, title curative, right-of-way acquisition and construction, negotiating leases and contracts, as well as many other phases of this industry. While at BETA Land Services, he has managed several different projects including Due Diligence Projects worth over 10.4 billion dollars, lease acquisition and development of prospects consisting of up to 500,000 acres. Currently, he is the Chief Operations Officer (COO) for BETA Land Services, which involves assisting in the day-to-day managing of BETA Land Services, as well as overseeing the many projects that are being conducted and managed by the various project managers. He also manages certain projects directly and is responsible for all Abstracts of Title prepared by BETA Land Services.
He is a member of the American Association of Profession Landman (AAPL), Lafayette Association of Professional Landman (LAPL) and a past member of the Lafayette Geological Society. Mr. Ducharme is involved in several local activities, including the following activities at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church: Parish Council, Finance Committee, Eucharistic Minister and Golf Tournament Committee. He is a past member of the Teurlings Catholic School – Rebel Golf Tournament Committee, past director of the Junior High Youth Group and High School Youth Group at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
