Mel L. Credeur
As an Attorney whose years of practice included Oil and Gas Law, Mel L. Credeur brings his knowledge and experience to his work with BETA in Land Services.
Mel was born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana. He graduated from the University of Southwestern Louisiana (USL), now the University of Louisiana Lafayette (ULL), in 1977 and obtained a law degree from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University in 1980. His work with BETA has involved efforts in several states across the US, including Louisiana, Texas, Illinois, and Wyoming, as well as the Gulf of Mexico. He has experience in Property and Lease Acquisition, Abstracting, Title Research, Right of Way, Due Diligence, IPL research and preparation, Division Order coordination and preparation, and Curative work. Mel has had extensive involvement in all aspects of the Haynesville Shale, including Title Research, IPL research and preparation, Leasing, Abstracting, Division Order coordination and preparation, major Due Diligence projects, and technical aspects of title, leasing, and operations. He has had extended involvement in Title Research and Leasing in various other shale plays and prospects, including Central and South Louisiana and the Permian Basin in Texas.
He also has coordinated a major Offshore Acquisition Project.
